The Great Weekend

I love bike riding Because you can bike anywhere . So on Saturday Me and my Nan went for a bike ride. I had to bike behind her because I got scared if I didn't follow the rules.


First We went to the park to shoot some hoops but then we ended up playing two on two. 5 minutes later my nan had a drink and went to her friends house for a little bit while I stayed playing one on one with the other boys. When she came back she told me that they were watching the new spider man movie we went there watch it for a little bit then we left to go and get a Ice cream. When we got there we left our bikes outside of the dairy. We went inside and I got a cookies and cream with chocolate sauce on top. We when and sit down on a seat close to the library and our ice cream were melting.


We finished our ice cream bike home to have dinner. And I still biked behind my Nan.

Rugby

Rugby is a awesome sport to play. You usually play it on a field. It' a team sport. It's fun and ruff. Rugby is a fun sport because there is a lot of tackling and you play with some of your friends

you can play with your friend at school or you play in a team. when you under 9 you half of a field then when you a under ten you move on to a full field.

The challenge of the game for the offense players is to get the ball to the other side of the field and score points. The challenge of the game for the defence is to tackle the offense players and not let them score.

At the end of the game you should be proud of yourself for playing the game.

Holidays

On Sunday Me, Mum and my Sister went to go watch my cousin Zion play basketball while Nan stayed home home.

When i got there we were looking for what court he was on. We had to go past a few courts then we found his team. He was playing against a college that he went to before. we sat down on the seats. I was trying to look for him but i didn't know what he look like, but my mum told me where he was. He had blue nike shoes and he was really tall. When he look at me he started to smile at me because he knew who i was. when the game started I was happy to watch him play. At half time his leg was hurting. But then it got better. At the end of the game his mum gave me a basketball to play with. He was watching me do some skill while he was exercising. we played a one on one but the he had to go back with his team.

I had a good time time with my cousin Zion playing basketball and i hope i can see him again

    

Fancy Dress Party

Folk dancing is really fun. Yesterday after school, we went to  Ngā Purapura. Everyone had to dress up in a costume. I dressed up as a cowboy with a necklace, jeans and a part of my tuxedo.

 A lot of  people dressed up as a cowboy as well. There was a Captain America costume, a Marshmello, black panther, Superman, Pennywise and Basketball players. The costumes were nice  and creative. Kids even made up costumes with cardboard.

The first class were room 1 and 11, They did the jiffy mix. Then it was rooms 2 and 10, Bad hair day dance. Next was rooms 7 and 8, did the gumboot. Then rooms 5 and 6 did the Virginia Reel. Next up was my class, Room 4, and we did strip the willow. All we did was turning around down a line and back up. Then it was rooms 3 and 12, they danced 5 6 7 8. Our class was the only class that didn’t dance with another class.

At the end of  the dances the parents had to come up to the dance with the kids. It was humiliating because they didn’t know what to do and that was the funny part of the dance.

At the very end all the kids got ice cream. A lot of kids went home, they forgot to stay for the macarena. When they started the music there were only about 20 people there.

Basketball tournament

On Thursday the 29th of August my school had a basketball 🏀 tournament in levin. when we got there, there was a lot of teams some from foxton but our team was the waitohu celtics 🍀. The people from our team were Giorgio, Kaylis, Mana, Zahrn, Ethan, Jackson, David and me. Then the owner of the place that we were playing at told the teams some rules. Then we had to wait for the first teams to play the our team had to play. The first team the we played poroutawhao. the score was 24 to 4 our team won. The next team we played was levin east hawks it was a really close game the score was 28 to 24 and our team won again. Then we played taitoko. I forgot the score but our team won again. then we had some food🍕🍔🍬🍭. Our team had to wait for two games the we could play 🏀. Then we had the semifinals it was our team the waitohu celtics vs foxton beach. now this was a close game i knew some of them from rugby but i think we won by two points then went to the finals👍👍.  we we were up against levin hornets🐝🐝. I was happy that we went to the finals. There team is really really hard but it was a good game. The score was 28 to 22 and we lossed. But we came second and  got certificates from the people who owned place. well me, Zahrn and Jackson got   McDonalds🍔.
